Position Purpose and Objectives: Working in our call center our Engagement Specialist will work directly with our members to develop relationships and build trust in selling quality products that are competitively priced. You will build rapport with members that will establish a network of referrals while working in a high-volume sales and service environment.Engagement Specialists are held accountable for helping CUTX meet and exceed sales goals by cross-selling and promoting CUTX products and services. They are also responsible for assisting team members and other departments in meeting or exceeding goals by providing all members that they encounter with an unexpected experience and referring business to other departments when appropriate.Major Duties and Essential FunctionsAnswer inbound/outbound calls to educate consumers on decisions and possible alternative solutions for their banking needsSell CUTX products and servicesProactively discuss and refer additional products to internal partnersMeet established weekly/monthly goalsMaintain an efficient workflow processManage a daily pipeline of businessDetermine eligibility for potential members by comparing client information to lending criteriaMaintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommending improved procedures.Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunitiesPositions directly supervised: N/ASpecific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position: Must have a service-oriented attitudeMust be Goal-orientedMust have strong listening skills and excellent verbal communication skillsProblem solving competence with a strong attention to detailMust have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a constantly changing environmentProficient computer ability including Windows PC Navigation skillsStrong desire to learn in a fast-paced environmentMust be a TEAM player and be able to help and rely on othersEducation and Experience: High School diploma or equivalency and at least two (2) years Credit Union experience, automotive industry, home lending, F and/or sales experience. Stable career with previous employers. Must be customer oriented, self-motivated team player with effective communication skills. Must be computer literate and able to type a minimum of 30 wpm. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Experience in a consumer lending role, or other sales-related experience. Must have a proven track-record of setting and meeting/exceeding personal and departmental sales goals. Salesforce experience a plus.
